I love Halloween. It's my favorite holiday by far. I hope to have another series along this line done before the 31st!

sea shore

I really like where this piece is going. Finding a harmony between cut paper and painting has been a serious challenge, but I think I'm starting to get there. I still like the look of pure cut paper, but pieces like this really need the watercolor and gouache.

a fish!

I've done a couple of fish like this over the last month or so and I really like them. I think I want to do a big one in blue and white. Maybe two ft by one ft which would actually be the biggest piece in my portfolio. I think it would look great over a mantle or maybe as part of a set. Hmmmm. Triptych fishes? anyway this particular one is too brightly colored to be any bigger than it is (tiny) but i still like it!

And one more for the night series

Again I like it, but I don't love it, so look for another wolf soon. I don't think this one made the website, but its still nice.

Lookie even more!

This one has a lot of paint in it. I like it, but I'm not sure I love it. Look for more new stuff on my website!

More aRRRt

New cards! I like this fruit one a lot. I think it would make a fun theme in a kitchen. Hmmmm maybe wallpaper or a stencil. I've been experimenting with putting paper between pieces of glass. Maybe this would make a pretty plate!

Bat in Flight

So I had planned for this piece to be in black and white and be part of my night creatures series (see owl and cat already posted) but it really wanted to be purple. I like the effect, though I may do a black and white version too.

Dragon!

So I'm playing with using more paint in my cut paper pieces. I like the way the work is going so far and it gives me way fewer hand cramps ^_^

Capstone almost done

Ah! My honors thesis is almost complete! There is so much rejoicing! This piece is a banshee and the last page in the first chapter of my book. Now I just have to get this beast printed and maybe I can breathe again.
